These pictures are our attempt to share our impressions of the unexpected pleasure of Heywood garden. We called in to deliver one of Rosalie's artworks to a purchaser in Seville - this lovely lady shared her view of the mountains with us, then invited us to visit her friend Virginia just up the road to see the exquisite Heywood Garden.
What a treat: refreshed with (real) mint tea and bathed in a balmy 20+degrees of late afternoon sunshine, we were led around this paradise of a garden with breathtaking vistas from the front and back terraces. It is truly a labour of love, and an education to be introduced to so many exquisite plants and shrubs and flowers - not to mention the odd king parrot, pink and grey galah, eastern spinebill and a thornbill. There was also a not-so-welcome bunny! But wait there's more...the garden is occasionally open to the public, and there's an opportunity coming up soon. We suggest you book yourself in for a delightful experience.
