CURRAWONG
These lovely birds are quite common in woodlands and parks, in the eastern states of Australia. They tend to forage singly, in pairs, or groups from ground level to treetops. See more at eBird.
These photos were taken in the backyard in Melbourne in April 2022 - at about this time every year, the burrawongs come looking for the berries on the neighbour's cucumber magnolia tree. It's such fun to catch them gorging, often in completion with the mynahs. Click on any image to see enlarged photos.
