Women of Steel is the story of four pioneering maternal ancestors - Ellen, Polly, Nellie and Bonnie - who lived in the industrial heartland of England; then the cane fields of Bundaberg, Queensland; then Menzies, in the remote Western Australian goldfields; then Collie, a coal-mining town in the south-west of Western Australia.
