Our 3.5km walk was through exquisite woodlands.. Along the way, we chanced upon a scarlet robin, a buff-dumped thornbill (who knew?), a kookaburra, some silvereye, a yellow-faced honeyeater, and another newbie for us, a rufous whistler (who shared a most glorious song with us). Most are shown here - with a few extras! We walked the 3.5 kms to the Big Rock and the views (below) did not disappoint...even if the crowds were a little intrusive (it was a long weekend so everyone was out enjoying the open space - great to see!). We'll be heading out to the You Yangs again very soon - it's a new favourite.
