BeverleyStill not over crimson rosellas... Who can resist a crimson rosella? Not us... Emerald Lake Park is a delightful place set in the heart of the Dandenongs near the town of Emerald. The day we visited started a bit cloudy and wet, but improved as we went on. This was greatly helped by the magnificent crimson rosellas (above, undeterred by the rain!) who hopped about next to the heritage railway station - complete with Puffing Billy train! The waterbirds did not disappoint, with this lovely duck showing off its wings and full chest. Just nearby, this cormorant, with a very green eye, was drying its wings.
